O'Keeffe's Healthy Feet is very different than other foot care crèmes and lotions. The unique formulation creates the perfect microenvironment for damaged, split and cracked skin to repair itself and regain its integrity.
O'Keeffe's proprietary technology utilizes three chemical processes in combination to stimulate the repair process.
First, O'Keeffe's hydrates the skin with water and glycerin. Glycerin is a humectant which draws moisture to itself at a molecular level causing hydration of the skin. Hydration is the process of replacing water in skin at the cellular level and only hydrated cells are capable of repair.
Secondly, O'Keeffe's traps the moisture at the cellular level with two occlusive agents, stearic acid and paraffin. These highly effective occlusive agents prevent evaporation of the hydrating compounds.
Thirdly, the pH balance in O'Keeffe's is designed to stimulate the chemoreceptors in the dermis layer of the skin to activate the body's own powerful repair cycle. Allantoin and glycerin are classified by the FDA as skin protectants. O'Keeffe's includes these skin protectants to facilitate repair at the cellular level.

Directions:
Apply at bedtime and after shower or bath. Product performance is enhanced when used at night. Studies show a slight elevation in skin temperature at night. Elevated skin temperature indicates increased circulation which allows better penetration of the foot crème. Increased circulation, no weight bearing pressure points and virtually no friction make bedtime the ideal time to apply O'Keeffe's Healthy Feet for optimum results. Mild stinging of damaged skin is normal. Discontinue use if irritation persists.
