O'Keeffe's was born out of necessity and compassion. More than 25 years ago, Tara O'Keeffe, a pharmacist, saw her father Bill struggling with dry, cracked hands. Bill, a rancher and diabetic, couldn't find any product that provided the relief he desperately needed.
Determined to help her father, Tara took matters into her own hands. She began experimenting in her kitchen. The result of her efforts would become what we now know as Working Hands.
